I found this really cool ‘customerbility video’ I’d like to share. When you think insurance companies (like GEICO) are dull and boring, this video might make you feel different. Especially when you look at all the other initiatives that GEICO took to become one of the coolest brands in the world of insurance.
First of all, there’s The Gecko: the mascotte and icon of GEICO that shows up in most of the funny commercials. Of course GEICO has a blog, but they also have a merchandise shop and even their own ringtones. How cool is that? Particularly for an insurance company.
But now they have this viral video, and that’s what this post is about. It features real GEICO employees from the customer support centre singing a love ballad for their customers. They show their passion for service. Of course they do that together with The Gecko. But also in this video clip is world famous business man, investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (the holding to which GEICO belongs) Warren Buffet. He is dressed up like Axl Rose from Guns ‘n Roses in his best years. And that, of course, makes the video go viral…
